A tour operator that lives on its own route

PilavTour is a trading name of Pilav Destination Management MChJ, a tour operator registered and working in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. We run small-group and private journeys along the Silk Road cities — Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva — and custom itineraries beyond them.

We are the principal party to every booking, not an intermediary: we design the routes, set the prices, and deliver the tours ourselves. Where specific services — transport, accommodation, guiding — are provided by local suppliers, they act as our subcontractors under our instructions, and any refund is processed by us under our own cancellation policy.

Before founding PilavTour, our founder spent two years as a tourism development specialist on Resiland, a landscape resilience programme with an ecotourism component. That work is where our operating rules come from, and they are practical rather than declarative: groups stay small enough for the places that host them; the money for transport, accommodation and guiding goes to suppliers in the cities we visit, contracted directly by us; and monuments are part of a route, not a backdrop for one photo stop.

We would rather show you fewer places properly than more places from a bus window — that is the whole design principle, and it is also why our group sizes are printed on every tour page.
