Cookies we use

The analytics cookies above are only set if you accept the “Analytics” category — Google Analytics 4’s script is not loaded at all until then, not loaded-but-inactive.

Categories

• Necessary— required for the site to function. We don't currently set any necessary cookies of our own; your cookie/consent choice itself is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4, listed above. Helps us understand which pages are useful. Off by default; only runs if you accept it.
• Marketing— reserved for future advertising campaigns. We don't run any marketing or advertising today, so nothing loads under this category yet — it exists so we don't have to rebuild the consent interface later if that changes.

Video embeds

Some blog posts embed a YouTube or Vimeo video. These show a click-to-play preview first — the video provider’s player (and any cookies it sets) only loads if you click play on that specific video. This is independent of the categories above and isn’t covered by your analytics/marketing choice, since it only ever runs on your direct action.

Changing your choice

Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the consent dialog and change your choice by category at any time.
